Resistance Thermometers
Temperature measurement with Resistance Thermometers is based on the property by all conductors and semiconductors, namely that their resistance varies as a function of temperature. The resistance temperature detector is made up of a platinum coil wound on a suitable support and fused into glass or embedded in ceramic. To get higher sensibility, a resistor made of ceramic or semiconductor can be chosen. But hereby the reading will get more inaccurate. Advantage of Resistance Thermometers is their delivered electrical signal well-suited for the industrial measurement.
BITHERMA offers Resistance Thermometers according to DIN in various versions and with many connectivities. Special designs on request.
